Bethel College Class of ’76 Golden Reunion
We hope you have reserved the weekend of October 16-18, 2026, to attend Fall Fest at Bethel College and more importantly, our Golden Class Reunion!
Reunion Schedule
Friday, October 16
5:00-6:30 pm: Reception in Mantz Library Lounge with a welcome by new Interim President, Wynn Goering.
7:00-10:00 pm: Dinner at the Prairy Mezzanine, located in the former JC Penney building on the corner of 6th and Main in Newton. (Vegetarian and gluten free options available). Prairy brings together heritage foods, artist inspired goods, home and outdoor living products all designed to celebrate life on the Great Plains. The Mezzanine Event Space overlooks the specialty food market and deli and sits directly above the production kitchen where the signature Prairy Pfeffernusse and other bite sized cookies and crackers are produced and shipped across the country.
Saturday, October 17
9:00 am-3:00 pm: Class Booth on the Green.
11:00 am-Noon: Class Tour of Haury Hall. See how our class gift to the Haury Hall Remodel Project will make a difference to future students.
1:00-2:00 pm: Join other reunion classes at Memorial Hall.
5:30 pm: Dinner in the Stadium Viewing Suite
6:00 pm: Bethel vs Tabor Football Game. Watch the game in the Stadium Viewing Suite or in the special section reserved for our class in the stadium.
Sunday, October 18
8:00-10:00 am Farewell Coffee. 1887 Café (known as Bubbert’s in 1976)
How to Maximize Giving to the Class Gift with a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD)
If you are 70½ and older (you are!), you can ask your IRA plan administrator to transfer your donation directly from your IRA account to Bethel College.
If you are over 73, you can apply the donation to your annual Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) from your IRA.

When to RSVP for Reunion Events: A request for RSVPs will be sent in August with a deadline of October 1. We sure hope to see you at our 50th class reunion.
