Bethel College will offer and implement appropriate and reasonable supportive measures to the parties upon notice of alleged discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and/or other prohibited conduct. Supportive measures are non-disciplinary, non-punitive individualized services offered as appropriate and as reasonably available. They are offered, without fee or charge to the parties, to restore or preserve access to Bethel College’s Education Programs or Activity, including measures designed to protect the safety of all parties and/or Bethel’s educational environment
Supportive measures could include:
- Referral to counseling and health services (both on-campus and off-campus)
- Academic support that could include assignment extensions, excused absences as well as schedule modification and withdrawal
- Housing support that could include temporary or long-term housing reassignments
- No Contact Orders – helping students navigate a small campus to manage common spaces such as cafeteria, Convocation, etc.
- Work with student employment management if student jobs need to be altered or reassigned
Supportive measures are available to students regardless of the resolution option they choose, and they can remain in effect as long as necessary.
