Assessment Reports

Departmental Assessment Reports

Each department has developed discipline-specific and measurable objectives relating to each learning goal for their major. Using a variety of assessment instruments, each department attempts to determine the degree to which its student majors are reaching those objectives and, if not, what programming changes need to be made. In this way, student learning outcome data improves programming and thus increases student performance and accomplishment in each respective department’s discipline. To maintain student data privacy, department assessment reports are not published. Some student learning outcome data, particularly from accredited programs, is available on the departmental pages.

Co-Curricular Assessment Reports

We recognize that student learning happens both inside and outside of the classroom. Several entities on campus set goals and measure student learning through a robust plan of co-curricular assessment that closely mirrors our curricular assessment protocols. Co-curricular areas of assessment include Student Life (Religious Life, Student Activities and Engagement, Residential Life, and Community Connections); Athletics; Office of Diversity and Inclusion; Career Services; and Academic Co-Curricular (Collegian student newspaper; Center for Academic Development; and Library). Each co-curricular area director submits an annual assessment report that reflects on data collected throughout the previous year and outlines improvements based on those data. To maintain student data privacy, these reports are not published but shared publicly through annual summaries.
