How can I fund my undergraduate research?
Bethel grants Study and Research Awards of up to $1,000 through a competitive process, for study and research to be done in the summer following the sophomore or junior year.
You’ll collaborate with faculty on a topic of potential interest for your senior seminar, or that you might wish to pursue in graduate school.
Ways to conduct research at Bethel

- Class-oriented projects provide an initial undergraduate research experience for students. You’ll work together with other students and the course instructor on shared research projects.
- Directed study gives you a chance to work on a collaborative research project with a faculty mentor. Typically, directed study courses are related to your major.
- Senior Seminar pairs you with a faculty member to develop and implement an original research project. Research topics may be related to summer research projects, internships, a culminating art show or performance, or other experiences.
