Bethel College

Mental Health Resources

College is an exciting place where you will develop as a person.

Of course, that also means being a college student is stressful. And that’s true whether you’re a first-time freshman or a senior.

Thanks to our partnership with Counslr, you have free access to mental health support whenever and wherever you need it. Using the Counslr mobile app, you can engage in unlimited live texting sessions with real licensed counselors 24/7/365.

Download Counslr and create your account using your Bethel email address—it only takes 5 minutes.

Sometimes you need someone trained, objective and caring to just listen. Bethel’s counseling service for students is here to be that for you.

Are you having:

  • addiction issues
  • roommate troubles
  • relationship issues with a friend or significant other
  • academic struggles
  • homesickness
  • identity questions
  • family problems
  • feelings of isolation / not feeling connected
  • depression
  • anxiety

Whatever the cause of stress in your life, the Student Counseling Office is a safe place to bring it for examination and help. No issue is too “minor” or too severe for any student to talk about with Student Wellness. All services are free, confidential and protected by HIPAA (federal privacy regulations).

Call or e-mail Percy Turner, counselor, to schedule a talk. He will work with you to meet your needs regarding time and what might best address your situation. All conversations will be kept strictly confidential.
