The Department of Communication Arts theater program offers annual scholarships to promising high school theater students considering Bethel College. We base scholarships on acting and production/technical achievement.
To audition for an acting scholarship
- Prepare two short monologues, at least two minutes each in length, showing contrast in style, character or mode.
To be considered for a production/technical scholarship
- Compile a resume of work done.
- Include design drawings or photos of work if possible.
- You must have at least one letter of recommendation from a director, teacher or supervisor.
All applicants must arrange an audition/interview with the theater faculty.
If you are unable to make a campus visit, you may send a video or DVD of your performance audition. Production/technical applications may schedule a phone interview.
Scholarships cannot be awarded before the Admissions Office has received your application for admission to Bethel College.
For more information, or to schedule an audition or interview or send a tape or DVD, contact your admissions counselor or Department of Communication Arts.
