Honor Band

2016 Bethel College Honor Band Registration is NOW OPEN!

Now in its fourth year, the Bethel College Honor Band provides rewarding musical experiences for high school wind and percussion students and their directors. Working with nationally renowned guest conductors and composers, students rehearse and perform high-caliber repertoire with others from across the region.

The event is hosted by Dr. Adam V. Fontana, Bethel College director of instrumental music

$50 per student, which includes lunch, dinner and a Bethel T-shirt

Steven D. Davis, director of bands and wind ensembles, University of Missouri-Kansas City

2016 Schedule

Saturday, Nov. 19
9 a.m. Check-In Krehbiel Auditorium and Luyken Fine Arts Center
9:30 a.m. Opening ceremony of the 2016 Bethel College Honor Band
Events throughout the day include rehearsals and a joint concert with the Bethel College Wind Ensemble, along with additional performances by the Bethel Brass Quintet and the Bethel Jazz Ensemble I.
Krehbiel Auditorium and Luyken Fine Arts Center
7 p.m. Concert (open to the public)
Admission is free, with a freewill offering taken.

Event FAQs

I registered for the Honor Band, but I need to cancel. Can I get a refund?
50% of the registration fee will be refunded if canceling by Nov. 5, 2016. No refunds will be given after that date.
What type of clothing should students bring?
Students are expected to wear their “Sunday best” for the concert and casual “school-appropriate” attire for practices and the rest of the day’s events. Please do not wear a band uniform.
