Student Life

Counseling

College is a stimulating and exciting place where you will grow, change and develop as a person.

Of course, that also means being a college student is stressful. And that’s true whether you’re a first-time freshman or a senior, whether you’re the first person, or the fifth generation, in your family to go to college, whether you’re three miles or three states away from home.

Sometimes you need someone trained, objective and caring to just listen. Bethel’s counseling service for students is here to be that for you.

Are you having:

  • addiction issues
  • roommate troubles
  • relationship issues with a friend or significant other
  • academic struggles
  • homesickness
  • identity questions
  • family problems
  • feelings of isolation / not feeling connected
  • depression
  • anxiety

Whatever the cause of stress in your life, the Student Counseling Office is a safe place to bring it for examination and help. There is no issue too "minor" or too severe for any student to talk with Student Wellness about. All services are free, confidential and protected by HIPAA (federal privacy regulations).

Call or e-mail Percy Turner, counselor, to set up a time to talk. He will work with you to meet your needs in terms of time and what might best address your own situation. All conversations will be kept strictly confidential.
