Will Lewis to give senior voice recital

NORTH NEWTON, KAN. – Bethel College student Will Lewis, Newton, will give his senior voice recital Sunday, Nov. 10, at 1:30 p.m. in the Administration Building chapel.

Lewis will graduate from Bethel in 2014 with a degree in music performance. He is a student of Soyoun Chun, Bethel College assistant professor of music and instructor of voice.

Lewis’s recital program will include works by Handel, Schumann, Donaudy, Donizetti, Quilter, Fauré and Bizet, with songs from L’Elisir d’Amore and Carmen. Lewis’s accompanist will be Melody Bontrager, North Newton.

At Bethel, Lewis is a member of the Bethel College Concert Choir and the Bethel Philharmonia Orchestra. He has appeared in opera and music theater productions, most recently as “Archibald Craven” in the Fall Festival 2012 musical, The Secret Garden.

Lewis is a 2008 graduate of Newton High School and is the son of Paul and Diane Lewis of Newton.

The recital is free and open to the public. A reception will follow in The Meeting Place, on the ground floor of the Ad Building.
