Megan Siebert to give senior guitar recital

NORTH NEWTON, KAN.– Bethel College student Megan Siebert, Topeka, will give her senior guitar recital Friday, April 26, at 4:30 p.m. in the Administration Building chapel.

Siebert will graduate from Bethel in May 2014 with a degree in music with education licensure and a minor in literary studies.

She is a student of Howard Glanton, Bethel College adjunct instructor of guitar, who will join Siebert for parts of the recital.

The program includes music by J.S. Bach, Fernando Sor, Roland Dyens, Masaaki Kishibe and Andy McKee, among others.

At Bethel, Siebert is a member of the Bethel College Concert Choir, the women's a cappella ensemble Woven and Bethel College Jazz Ensemble I. She has appeared frequently in Bethel theater productions, most recently earlier this semester in the major role of “Constance Ledbelly” in Goodnight Desdemona, Good Morning Juliet.

Siebert is a 2009 graduate of  Topeka West High School and the daughter of Brad and Kay Siebert of Topeka.

The recital is free and open to the public. A reception will follow in The Meeting Place, on the ground floor of the Ad Building.
