Nathan Snyder to give senior voice recital

NORTH NEWTON, KAN. – Bethel College student Nathan Snyder, Fruita, will give his senior voice recital Sunday, April 29, at 7:30 p.m. in the Administration Building chapel.

Snyder will graduate from Bethel College in May 2012 with a degree in music performance. A tenor, he is a student of Soyoun Chun, Bethel College assistant professor of music.

Snyder’s program will include “Ombra mai fu” by George Frideric Handel; “Frülingstraum,” “Täuschung” and “Der Leiermann” by Franz Schubert; “La fleur que tu m’avais jetée” by Georges Bizet; “Le temp des lilas” and “Le colibri” by Ernest Chausson; “The world seems still tonight” and “The plains so green” from The Tender Land by Aaron Copland; “I won’t send roses” by Jerry Herman; “Goodbye” by Scott Wittman and Marc Shaiman; and “One Knight” by Frank Wildhorn.

Snyder’s accompanist will be Melody Bontrager, North Newton. He will also be joined by guest vocalist Allison Yoder, Bethel College junior from Kalona, Iowa.

Snyder is a 2008 graduate of Fruita-Monument High School. He is the son of Jay and Robin Snyder, now of Hesston, Kan.

The recital is free and open to the public. A reception will follow in The Meeting Place, in the Ad Building basement.
