Andrew Voth to give senior cello recital

NORTH NEWTON, KAN. – Bethel College student Andrew Voth, Topeka, will give his senior cello recital Saturday, April 21, at 7 p.m. in the Administration Building chapel.

Voth will graduate from Bethel College in May 2013 with a degree in music, with education certification, and a minor in history. He is a student of Parker Stanley, Bethel College adjunct instructor of music.

Voth’s program will include Suite No. 3 in C Major for Unaccompanied Cello by Johann Sebastian Bach, “Salut d’Amor” by Edward Elgar, “Highland Lament” by Bantock, “Three Spring Songs” by Bixel and Sonata in D Minor for Cello and Piano by Claude Debussy.

Voth’s accompanist will be Jordan Ortman, Bethel junior from Marion, S.D. He will also be joined by guest musician Joshua Powell, a tenor vocalist.

Voth is a 2008 graduate of Topeka West High School.

The recital is free and open to the public. A reception will follow in The Meeting Place, in the Ad Building basement.
