Rachel Voran to give senior violin recital

NORTH NEWTON, KAN. – Bethel College student Rachel Voran, Newton, will give her senior violin recital Sunday, Feb. 12, at 4 p.m. in the Administration Building chapel.

Voran will graduate from Bethel College in December 2012 with a degree in music, with education certification. She is a student of Nancy Johnson, Bethel College adjunct instructor of violin.

Voran’s program will include works by Bach, Beethoven, Grieg and Sarasate.

Her accompanists are Karen Bauman Schlabaugh, Bethel College professor of music, and Michelle Unruh, freshman from Goessel.

Voran is the daughter of Brent and Cora Voran of Newton.

The recital is free and open to the public. A reception will follow in The Meeting Place, in the Ad Building basement.
