Terra Wiens to give senior recital

NORTH NEWTON, KAN. – Bethel College student Terra Wiens, Newton, will give her senior recital Monday, May 2, at 7 p.m. in the Administration Building chapel.

Wiens will graduate from Bethel College in May 2011 with degrees in music and German. Though Wiens is also a cellist, her senior recital will be on piano, in which she is a student of Karen Bauman Schlabaugh, Bethel College professor of music.

Wiens’s program will include works by Bartok, Beethoven, Grieg and Poulenc, including a piece for four hands, in which Wiens will be joined by guest musician Rachel Gaeddert, Bethel College senior from Larned.

Wiens is the daughter of Kathy and Tim Wiens of Newton.

A reception will follow in The Meeting Place in the Ad Building basement. The recital is free and open to the public.
