Bethel announces three new board appointments

NORTH NEWTON, KAN. – Bethel College will welcome three new members to its Board of Directors at the fall board meeting later this month.

Brent Auernheimer, Reedley, Calif., will represent Pacific Southwest Conference of Mennonite Church USA. He attended Bethel College and has a Ph.D. in computer science from the University of California. He chairs the Department of Computer Science/Engineering at California State University, Fresno. He attends First Mennonite Church in Reedley.

Jim Ensz, Beatrice, Neb., is a 1972 Bethel College graduate who is now a crop and livestock farmer. His wife, Vicki Hinz-Ensz, and his son, Rodney Hinz-Ensz, are also Bethel graduates. Ensz is a member of First Mennonite Church in Beatrice and is an appointment of Western District Conference of Mennonite Church USA.

The Bethel College Corporation has appointed George Rogers III, Newton. He graduated from Bethel College in 1969 and has advanced degrees from Wichita State University and the University of Arkansas. From 1969-98, Rogers served variously as a coach, faculty member, director of athletics and dean of students at Bethel. He is currently president and CEO of Whitewing Construction Co., Newton. He lives in Newton with his wife, Rita. They have two children and two grandchildren.
