NORTH NEWTON, KAN. – The annual Bethel College Senior Art Exhibit opened May 8, with a reception for the artists to be held during Commencement Weekend.
Three seniors are showing work in a variety of media in the Fine Arts Center Gallery on the Bethel College campus.
Andrea Kaufman, Harrisburg, S.D., is showing jewelry and photography. She will graduate May 24 with a major in art.
Susan Schmeichel, Hurley, S.D., is showing mixed media acrylic paintings. She is completing a major in art but will graduate in May 2010 with an additional major in Spanish.
Ryan Unruh, Moundridge, is showing photography. He graduates May 24 with a major in art.
The three are students of Gail Lutsch, professor of art, David Long, associate professor of art, and Rachel Epp Buller, adjunct assistant professor of art.
The seniors’ exhibit will be open through Sunday, May 24. There will be an artists’ reception Saturday, May 23, from 3-5 p.m. to which the public is welcome.
Regular gallery hours are Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m. and Sunday afternoons from 2-4 p.m. There is no admission charge.
