Jazz Combo to spend three days on the road

NORTH NEWTON, KAN. – The Bethel College Jazz Combo will take a mini-tour to the Kansas City area and eastern Iowa this weekend.

Friday, April 25, beginning at 7:30 p.m., the group will play at Toto’s Café, 6915 Johnson Dr. in Mission; call 913-789-TOTO.

Saturday, April 26 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, April 27 at 2 p.m., Jazz Combo will perform at Iowa Mennonite School in Kalona.

Touring members of Jazz Combo are Brett Jackson, saxophone, senior from North Newton; Aaron Linscheid, trumpet, fifth-year senior from North Newton; Benjamin Harder, trombone, junior from Hesston; Ben Stucky, piano, freshman from Moon Township, Pa.; Bradley McKellip, bass, sophomore from Newton; and Nathaniel Yoder, drums, sophomore from Kalona, Iowa.

Bethel College is a four-year liberal arts college affiliated with Mennonite Church USA. Founded in 1887, it is the oldest Mennonite college in North America. Bethel is known for its academic excellence and was the highest ranked Kansas college in the national liberal arts category of U.S. News & World Report’s listing of “America’s Best Colleges” for 2008.
