NORTH NEWTON, KAN. – Bethel College’s director of nursing, Gregg Schroeder, has announced his intention to return to full-time classroom teaching at the college, leaving the director position open.
The search for a new director of nursing will begin by January 2008, said Vice President for Academic Affairs Brad S. Born, with the goal of hiring a new director by July 2008. During that time, Schroeder will continue to serve as director of nursing.
Schroeder’s primary role will be teaching in the nursing program, while retaining important responsibilities in the areas of simulation education and student recruitment.
Born expressed his appreciation for Schroeder’s ongoing service to the college. “Now serving his 15th year at Bethel, Gregg has provided vital leadership in our nursing program – first as a faculty member and more recently through his three-year tenure as director of nursing,” Born said. “Gregg has been unwavering in his commitment to the Bethel Department of Nursing and its mission to prepare excellent BSN nurses. I am delighted that he will continue to devote his knowledge and expertise in service to that mission.”
