Sara Adrian to give senior piano recital

NORTH NEWTON, KAN. – Bethel College student Sara Adrian, Butterfield, Minn., will give her senior piano recital Sunday, May 13, at 3 p.m. in Krehbiel Auditorium of the Fine Arts Center on the Bethel campus.

Adrian, a music and education major who will student teach in the fall, is a piano student of Karen Bauman Schlabaugh, Bethel College professor of music.

Adrian’s program includes “Prelude and Fugue in B flat major” from The Well Tempered Clavier Book I by J.S. Bach, Haydn’s Sonata in F major, Debussy’s “Prelude Number II, Voiles” and four pieces by Edvard Grieg: “Arietta Op. 12 No. 1,” “To Spring Op. 43 No. 6,” “Shepherd Boy Op. 54 No. 1” and “From Days of Youth Op. 65 No. 1.”

Adrian is the daughter of Duane and Sharon Adrian, Butterfield.

The recital is free and open to the public. A reception will follow.
