Chelsea Vaught to give senior piano recital

NORTH NEWTON, KAN. – Bethel College student Chelsea Vaught, Henderson, Neb., will give her senior piano recital on Sunday, Nov. 19, at 4 p.m. in Krehbiel Auditorium of the Fine Arts Center on the Bethel campus.

Vaught is a music and education major who will student teach during the spring semester and graduate in May 2007. She is also an accomplished organist who gave her senior organ recital last spring and is a regular organist for several area congregations. She is a piano student of Karen Bauman Schlabaugh, Bethel College professor of music.

Vaught’s program includes Zwölf Variationen über “Je suis Lindor,” KV 354 by W.A. Mozart, Fantasiestücke, Op. 12 by Robert Schumann, the third movement from Trois Études de Concert by Franz Liszt and Danzas Argentinas, Op. 2 by Alberto E. Ginastera.

Vaught is the daughter Cheryl and Rick Vaught of Henderson.

The recital is free and open to the public. A reception will follow.
