Chelsea Vaught to give senior organ recital

NORTH NEWTON, KAN. -- Bethel College student Chelsea Vaught, Henderson, Neb., will give her senior organ recital at 4 p.m. on Sunday, April 23, in the Administration Building chapel on the Bethel College campus. Vaught will graduate from Bethel College in May 2007 with a degree in music education (concentrations in organ and piano). She is a student of Roseann Penner Kaufman, adjunct instructor in organ at Bethel College.

Vaught’s recital will include "Praeludium in G major" by Dietrich Buxtehude, "Messa della Madonna" from the Fiori Musicali by Girolamo Frescobaldi, "Sonata No. 2 in C minor, BWV 626" by Johann Sebastian Bach, "Dankpsalm op.145 No. 2" by Max Reger, "Cantabile in B major" by César Franck and three pieces from Five Dances for Organ by Calvin Hampton.

Vaught is the daughter of Cheryl and Rick Vaught of Henderson.

The recital is free and open to the public. A reception will follow.
