Bethel College students are busy with student teaching assignments

NORTH NEWTON, KAN. -- Allen Jantz and Judith Miller, Bethel College associate professors of education and student teaching advisers, have announced student teaching assignments for the fall semester. Jayson Artaz, North Newton, a fifth-year elementary education major, is teaching 4th grade at Moundridge Elementary School under the direction of Vicki Kessler.

J. J. Birky, Colorado Springs, a senior communication arts major, is teaching drama and theater arts at Curie High School (Chicago Public Schools) under the direction of Sarah Miller.

Brenda Chandler, Valley Center, a fifth-year elementary education major, is teaching 1st grade at Sunset Elementary School in Newton with Deb Combs and 4th grade at Wheatland Elementary School in Valley Center with Becky Khosravipour.

Tony Hoops, Park City, a senior health and physical education major, is teaching at West Elementary School in Valley Center with Patti Paulson and at Valley Center High School with Jalayne Bacon.

Erik Hopper, a fifth-year health and physical education major, is teaching at Irving Elementary School in Wichita with Don Garcia and at Northwest High School in Wichita with Dianne Popp.

Christopher Koehn, North Newton, a fifth-year history major, is teaching history at Hesston High School under the direction of Kurt Harder.

Bethany Miller, Harrisonburg, Va., a senior elementary education major, is teaching 3rd grade at Northridge Elementary School in Newton under the direction of Gail Pryce.

Adam Robb, Moundridge, a senior chemistry major, is teaching chemistry at Moundridge High School under the direction of Joe Zerger.

Emily Schmidt, North Newton, a senior biology and elementary education major, is teaching 3rd grade at Sunset Elementary School in Newton under the direction of Karen Wiebe.

Ty Unrau, McPherson, a senior history major, is teaching history at Hesston High School under the direction of Shannon Rewerts.
