Bethel College music professors to give faculty concert

NORTH NEWTON, KAN. -- Karen Bauman Schlabaugh, professor of music, and Nancy Johnson, instructor of violin, will present a joint recital at 3 p.m. Sunday, April 17 in the Administration Building Chapel on the Bethel College campus in North Newton. Admission is free and open to the public. Schlabaugh will perform three pieces from Brahms’ "Fantasien, Op. 116" on piano, and Johnson will perform Ysaye’s "Sonata No. 2" on violin. Together, the two will perform Saint-Saens’ "Sonata No. 1, Op. 75" on violin and piano as well as "Pampeana No. 1" by Ginastera.
