NORMAN, OK - The Bethel College forensics squad brought home one award from Oklahoma University on Feb. 11, which qualified another student to attend the national tournament later this spring. Two squad members attended the Sweetheart Swing Tournament, competing against teams from 20 other colleges and universities.

Eric Stucky, senior from Moundridge, placed third in impromptu speaking. This placement, along with a first and third place from two other tournaments, qualified Stucky to attend the American Forensics Association National Individual Events Tournament, April 1-4, which will be held this year at Kansas State University in Manhattan.

Justin Shook, sophomore from Lyons, also attended the Sweetheart Swing event.

The Threshers will next compete at the Kansas Individual Events State Championships on Saturday, Feb. 26. The tournament will be hosted on Bethel’s campus, and will feature forensics squads from colleges and universities all over Kansas.
