Bethel College Wind Ensemble to present first concert

NORTH NEWTON, KAN.--The newly formed Bethel College Wind Ensemble will present its inaugural concert at 7:30 p.m., Friday, Dec. 3, at Memorial Hall on the North Newton campus. The public is invited. Admission is free; donations will be accepted. The concert will include "Divertimento," a piece that Vincent Persichetti composed in El Dorado, as well as Percy Grainger’s "Shepherd’s Hey" and a setting of Ralph Vaughn-Williams’ "Well Met, My Own True Love." The program will conclude with Alfred Reed’s "Russian Christmas Music."

The Bethel College Wind Ensemble, conducted by Christopher Koch, assistant professor of music, is composed of wind and percussion students and Newton community members.
