Kansas Dance Celebration to feature wide range of styles

NORTH NEWTON, KAN. -- The Bethel College Dance Ensemble’s Kansas Dance Celebration will be held this weekend, Friday and Saturday, Oct. 29 and 30, in Krehbiel Auditorium on the Bethel College campus. Performances begin at 8 p.m. and feature the BC Dance Ensemble accompanied by the Bethel College Jazz Ensemble under the direction of Stephen Jones. Dance styles will include ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, modern and liturgical.

There will also be guest artists from the Metropolitan Ballet of Wichita, the Extensions Dance Studio in Wichita, the Azteca Dancers of Newton and the Newton Performing Arts Center.

Tickets are $6 for adults and $3 for children; Bethel College students get in free with a student I.D. Tickets are available at Thresher Bookstore in the Schultz Student Center on campus or at the door.
