NORTH NEWTON, KAN. -- Preliminary figures show that a growth trend in enrollment at Bethel College continues for the third straight year. While the numbers won’t be official until Sept. 24, college officials are feeling good about response to new registration procedures and opening activities. Classes began Aug. 30.
So far, at the beginning of the 2004-05 school year, Bethel is showing a 15 percent increase in new students (first-time freshmen and transfers) over the start of 2003-04, continuing a similar trend of 15 percent higher new enrollment in 2003 than in 2002. There are about 192 new students on campus this fall.
Said Bethel president E. LaVerne Epp, "We are obviously pleased with these continuing enrollment trends. It is gratifying to realize that Bethel College remains a viable option and college choice for young people."
