Reservations due for Kauffman Museum-First Bank to Northwest Kansas

NORTH NEWTON, KAN. -- Reservations are due May 28 for the Kauffman Museum-First Bank of Newton "Post Rock and Limestone Church Adventure" bus trip June 2 and 3. The tour will head to Hay with stops at the Vonada Stone Company and the Lucas Grassroots Art Center along the way. A highlight of the two-day tour will be visits to several stone churches including Victoria's famous Cathedral of the Plains. Also included will be stops at the Sternberg Museum, the Volga-German House and the Pete Felton Stone Gallery at the Ellis County Historical Society and the Barbed Wire Museum in Lacrosse. Evening dinners will be at a German buffet in Gorham and the Swedish Crown in Lindsborg. Overnight lodging will be at the Fairfield Inn in Hays. Seats are still available on this tour. Cost is $205, including all meals, lodging, admissions, travel, taxes and gratuities. Museum member's price is $180.
