NORTH NEWTON, KAN. -- Bethel College will honor the nursing class of 2004 during the Nursing Pinning Ceremony at 2 p.m., Saturday, May 22 in Krehbiel Auditorium of the Fine Arts Center on the North Newton campus. Speaker for the event will be Susan Krehbiel, an advanced nurse practitioner at Mid Kansas Family Practice of Hesston. The title of her address is "Nurses Make a Difference." Thirteen graduating seniors will be awarded their nursing pins. They are Heather Aaron, Wichita; Jamie Blowers, Goessel; Grayce Ann Brown, Murdock; Crystal Enz, Newton; Hillary Epp, Beatrice, Neb.; Krista (Nilsen) Gehrer, Hesston; Polly Susan Graber, Freeman, S.D.; Stephanie Jackson, Thomas, Okla.; Jennifer Deann Kellogg, Valley Center; Unita B.M. Kham, Katmandu, Nepal; Karen Deanne Lehman, Howells, Neb.; Mary Dalayne Snavely, Wichita; and Kimberly Sodowsky, Hutchinson.
Five seniors were inducted into Sigma Theta Tau, the honor society of nursing. They are Jamie Blowers, Grayce Brown, Karen Lehman, Krista (Nilsen) Gehrer and Stephanie Jackson.
The graduates will also be honored May 23 at Bethel College baccalaureate and commencement services.
Carol Moore chairs the nursing program at the college. Other nursing faculty include Donna Becker, Verda Deckert, Nancy Lugo-Baez, Kelly J. Oberlechner, Gregg Schroeder and Lisa Ann Young.
