Shoup to give senior trumpet recital

NORTH NEWTON, KAN. -- Bethel College student Curtis N. Shoup, Winesburg, Ohio, will present his senior trumpet recital at 7:30 p.m., Saturday, May 8 in the Administration Building Chapel on the North Newton campus. Admission is free and open to the public. Shoup, a senior music major, is the student of Henry Elder, adjunct instructor of music. Shoup's recital will include works by Corelli, Handel, Hummel and Vivaldi. He will be accompanied by Karen Bauman Schlabaugh, professor of music, on piano and Aaron Linscheid, freshman from North Newton, on trumpet.

Shoup is the son of Lester and Janet Shoup of Winesburg, Ohio.
