Shaw to present senior organ recital

NORTH NEWTON, KAN. – Bethel College student Christopher Shaw, Peabody, will present his senior organ recital at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, March 14 in the Administration Building Chapel on the North Newton campus. Shaw’s performance will encompass pieces from the 16th through the 20th centuries. The list of composers includes Scheidemann, Bach, Handel, Mendelssohn and Messiaen.

Roseann Penner Kaufman is organ instructor at Bethel College.

Shaw is the son of Mike and Bonnie Shaw of Peabody. A music major at Bethel College, he is a regular organist for Bethel College Mennonite Church in North Newton and also accompanies the Bethel College Concert Choir. Shaw’s recital is free and open to the public.
