Hartshorn to present Staley lecture at Bethel College

NORTH NEWTON, KAN. – C. Leo Hartshorn will present "Drumming for Peace: Rhythmic and Irenic Pedagogy or Teaching Peace with a Funky Beat" as part of the Bethel College Staley Lecture Series. Hartshorn will speak at 11 a.m., Friday, Nov. 7, and Monday, Nov. 10, in Krehbiel Auditorium on the Bethel College campus in North Newton. Admission is free and open to the public. Hartshorn serves as minister of peace and justice for Mennonite Mission Network and is co-founder of Drumming for Peace, a rhythmic, peace-building organization based in Lancaster, Pa. Hartshorn served in pastoral roles for 29 years in California, Texas and Pennsylvania and received his doctorate from Lancaster Theological Seminary in May 2002.
