Bethel College vocal ensembles to perform in concert

NORTH NEWTON, KAN. – Bethel College men's and women’s vocal ensembles will perform in concert at 4 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 2 in the Administration Building Chapel on the Bethel College campus in North Newton. William Eash directs the ensembles. Admission is free and open to the public. Five singing groups will perform a program of sacred and secular musical literature. Selections include "Cape Breton lullaby," "Seeing Nellie home," "Simple Gifts," "Every time I feel the spirit," and "Ride the chariot."

Singers who will perform in the Nov. 2 concert are sopranos Sarah Brisendine, junior from Garden City; Aislinn Conrad, freshman from Hillsboro; Jodi Enz, freshman from Newton; Julia Fromm, freshman from Newton; Kelsey Goertzen, freshman from Henderson, Neb.; Michaela Martens, sophomore from Henderson, Neb.; Gina Neill, senior from Hesston; Dana Steingard, freshman from Henderson, Neb.; Stephanie Stivers, freshman from Maize; Elyse Unruh, sophomore from Walton.

Altos are Sara Adrian, freshman from Butterfield, Minn.; Adrienne Gerek, freshman from Onaga; Chelsea Hahn, freshman from Newton; Megan Herman, freshman from Kingman; Heidi Johnson, freshman from Topeka; Melissa Johnson, freshman from Whitewater; Emily Kerbs, freshman from Newton; Sara Miller, freshman from Mount Hope; Lauren Novess, freshman from Littleton, Colo.; Bethany Trimble, freshman from Clyde.

Tenors are Micah Bales, senior from Wichita; Jonathan Dean, freshman from Hutchinson; Owen Kindall, freshman from Minneapolis; Jonathan Mullinix, junior from Wichita; Joseph Penner, junior from Reedley, Calif.; Darren Christopher Ramsey, freshman from Wichita.

Basses are D.J. Bookout, freshman from Pretty Prairie; Adam Gaeddert, freshman from Hutchinson; Tyler Goertzen, freshman from Hesston; Peter Goerzen, freshman from Goessel; Jesse Zerger Nathan, sophomore from Moundridge; Shawn Rath, freshman from Moundridge; and David Stucky, junior from Moundridge.

Accompanists are Sara Adrian, Megan Herman and Sara Miller.
