Bethel College to host Thresher 5K Run, Jog or Walk

NORTH NEWTON, KAN. – Runners, joggers and walkers are invited to participate in the Bethel College 5K Run, Jog or Walk, set for Saturday, Oct. 4 in North Newton. This year the Thresher 5K Run, Jog or Walk follows a new course at the north and east end of campus. Registration is from 7-7:30 a.m. at Goering Hall on east 29th Street. A pre-race meeting is scheduled for 7:45 a.m. at Schmidt Track and the event begins at 8 a.m. from Schmidt Track, where the event also ends.

To pre-register, contact the Bethel College Office of Alumni Relations at (316) 284-5251. Forms are also available at Newton Medical Center and NRC Wellness Center. Cost to pre-register is $15 for adults, $10 for children (T-shirt included). Cost is $20 on race day (T-shirt available at a later date).

The Thresher 5K is part of Bethel College’s 33rd annual Fall Festival, scheduled for Oct. 2-5. Other festival activities include ethnic foods, entertainment, a Peace Fair and other children’s activities as well as alumni and athletic events.
