Bethel College student to present senior piano recital

NORTH NEWTON, KAN. - Bethel College student Ian Gingrich-Gaylord will present his senior piano recital at 4 p.m., Saturday, May 10 in the Administration Building Chapel at Bethel College, North Newton. Admission is free and open to the public. The recital will include works by Edvard Grieg, Max Reger, Robert Saxton, Frank Zappa and Thelonious Monk as well as two original jazz compositions.

Bethel College students Chris Janzen and Tory Doerksen will perform in a jazz combo with Gingrich-Gaylord.

A 1999 graduate of Northeast Magnet High School in Wichita, Gingrich-Gaylord is an art and music major at Bethel College where he is a student of Karen Schlabaugh, professor of music, and Stephen Jones, jazz artist in residence.

Gingrich-Gaylord is the son of Barbara Gingrich and Curtis Gaylord of Wichita.
