April 5, 3:30 Historic organ concert, with Donna Hetrick, Bethel College organ instructor. Free to the public as part of "Spring into the Arts" festival sponsored by Newton Area Arts Council.
April 19, 7:00 a.m. Earth Day Adventure Bird Walk along Sand Creek Trail with expert, local birder Gregg Friesen. Meet at the museum to follow the loop trail and return to the museum for coffee, juice and bird nest cookies. Free to the public.
May 29 Flint Hills-Pioneer Bluffs Bus Tour. One-day trip to Pioneer Bluffs heritage and cultural site, Flint Hills overlook along Highway 177 with NPS ranger, Chase County Court House, Cottonwood Falls, Flying W Ranch and chuck wagon supper. Call the museum for details or to register. Reservations required.
