Kip Wedel spent approximately 15 years in business before joining the faculty at Bethel College, where he teaches American history, political science and peace studies.
His research focuses on American civil religion and popular culture from the 1930s through 1950s, and his articles have appeared in academic journals on both sides of the Atlantic. He also has published on Anabaptist topics.
Courses taught at Bethel include: Religion in American History, History of American Capitalism, History of U.S. Foreign Policy, Race and Gender in American History, Kansas History, United States History I, United States History II, Principles of Political Science, U.S. Government, Introduction to Peace Studies, Political Violence, and Peace Studies Research. He co-teaches Historical Methodologies and History Seminar with Dr. Mark Jantzen, professor of history.
