Connect To Purpose

For more than 50 years, Herman Bubbert has been known as a fictitious perennial Bethel Student, known primarly for campus pranks attributed to him. It is in that spirit that the Bubbert Awards were created: a yearly film festival showcasing the best creative works by the campus community.

Each year we roll out the red carpet for students and staff to enjoy the many entries ranging from the funny and absurd, to the dramatic and thought provoking.

About Bethel

As the first Mennonite college founded in North America, Bethel College celebrates a tradition of progressive Christian liberal arts education, diversity within community, and lifelong learning.
