September 11th, 2017

NORTH NEWTON, KAN. – Allen Wedel, Bethel College vice president for business affairs, has announced the appointment of Megan Kershner, Hesston, as part-time director of career services, beginning July 18.

She will be assuming the duties of student employment and career services that formerly fell under the job description of campus counselor Joanna Bjerum. Bjerum will become the full-time director of student wellness.

Kershner comes to Bethel after nearly two years as human resources specialist for Prairie View, Inc. Before that, she was volunteer coordinator and worked with the fund advancement team at Schowalter Villa (Bluestem Communities) in Hesston.

Kershner graduated from Bethel in 2008 with a B.A. in music.

Kershner said she looks forward to “helping students find a career and succeed [as] a rewarding career.”

“Megan enjoys working with students, and she has a lot of knowledge about HR. I’m excited to have her join the Bethel team,” Wedel said.
