Hours change for intersession, holidays

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

The end of the semester and the holidays mean changes in hours for many of the offices and services at Bethel College.

During finals week, Dec. 10-13, the library will have extended hours Mon.-Weds., Dec. 10-12: 8 a.m.-2 a.m. The library is open Thurs., Dec. 13, 8 a.m.-5 p.m., and Fri., Dec. 14, 8 a.m.-4 p.m.

The library's intersession hours begin Sat., Dec. 15, which are: closed weekends; open Mon.-Fri., Dec. 17-21, 9 a.m.-noon and 1-3 p.m.; closed Mon., Dec. 24-Tues., Jan. 1; Weds., Jan. 2, 9 a.m.-noon and 1-3 p.m. Regular hours resume Thurs., Jan. 3, 2019.

The cafeteria in Schultz Student Center will close at 1 p.m. Thurs., Dec. 13, and reopen at 5 p.m. Weds., Jan. 2, 2019.

Thresher Shop in Schultz Student Center will have shortened hours for the public, Mon.-Fri., Dec. 17-21: 9 a.m.-3 p.m.

Other offices observe regular weekday hours through Fri., Dec. 21, when the campus closes for the Christmas/New Year’s break at 5 p.m., reopening Weds., Jan. 2, 2019, at 8 a.m.

Exceptions are Mojo’s Coffee Bar, Kauffman Museum, and one special day for the advancement/development office.

That office, located on the main floor of the Administration Building, will be open Mon., Dec. 31, 9 a.m.-3 p.m., to accept end-of-year gifts. Come in to visit with the staff and enjoy holiday treats and a warm beverage.

Kauffman Museum is closed Mondays, plus Tues., Christmas Day, and Tues., New Year’s Day. Otherwise, hours are 9:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. weekdays and Sat.-Sun., 1:30-4:30 p.m.

Attractions include the museum store and the current special exhibit, “Better Choose Me: Collecting and Creating with Tobacco Fabric Novelties, 1880-1920,” featuring the collection of the late Ethel Ewert Abrahams.
