Bethel College FAC gallery to show Keating paintings

September 11th, 2017

NORTH NEWTON, KAN. - "The Greek Influence," abstract oil paintings by Roger Keating of Halstead, are on exhibit March 7 to 21 in the Fine Arts Center Gallery at Bethel College in North Newton. Keating graduated from Bethel College in 1996 and studied art at Wichita State University. He worked at Mennonite Press in Newton as a graphic designer and at Graphics Systems in Wichita. Currently he is employed as an exterior designer for aircraft at Cessna Aircraft in Wichita.

Much of the Keating exhibit shows Greek architectural details, based on tales, battles and other aspects of history. The artist uses color, balance, structure and content to reflect the nature of the ancient Greeks and the works of art they created.

The Fine Arts Center Gallery is open 9 a.m to 5 p.m weekdays and 2 to 4 p.m. Sundays.
