September 11th, 2017

NORTH NEWTON, KAN. - Bethel College Fine Arts Center Gallery will exhibit works by graduating senior art majors in the gallery's final show of the academic year, May 2 through 25. Hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays and 2 to 4 p.m. Sundays. A reception with the artists is planned for 3 to 5 p.m., Saturday, May 24 in the gallery located in the Fine Arts Center on the North Newton campus. Admission is free and open to the public. Bethel College seniors who have created the works in the show are Nathan Abrahams from North Newton, Ian Gingrich-Gaylord from Wichita and Marena Nachtigall from Hesston.

The pieces in this exhibit encompass art works these students made for their majors at Bethel College. Included are prints, paintings, photographs, ceramic pieces and mixed media works.

Art professors at Bethel College are David Long and Gail Lutsch.

"Our three graduating seniors work in diverse but complementary ways," Lutsch says. "Their exhibit will be rich in texture and color, with a variety of two-dimensional and three-dimensional pieces. The works range from realism to abstraction, from human figure to still life, from glazed pots to collage painting. There will be something of interest for all viewers."
