Bethel announces reduced hours for the holidays

NORTH NEWTON, KAN. – Bethel College announces changes in hours for the end of fall semester and through the Christmas and New Year’s holidays, beginning Dec. 18.

Kauffman Museum will have normal hours – Tues.-Fri., 9:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m., Sat. and Sun. 1:30 p.m.-4:30 p.m., closed Monday.

Admission to the current special exhibits “Voices of Conscience: Peace Witness in the Great War” and “Chisholm Trail: Driving the American West,” as well as the permanent exhibits “Of Land and People” and “Mennonite Immigrant Furniture” is $4 for adults, $2 for children ages 6-16, and free to Kauffman Museum members and children under 6. The museum store is open the same hours as the museum (no admission charge for just visiting the store).

Thresher Shop in Schultz Student Center will be open 9 a.m.-3 p.m. through Friday, Dec. 22. The store is closed Dec. 25-29 and Jan. 1. Regular hours (weekdays, 8 a.m.-5 p.m.) resume Tuesday, Jan. 2.

Mantz Library is closed on weekends starting Saturday, Dec. 16, until the beginning of January.

Reduced Christmas break hours are 9 a.m.-noon and 1-3 p.m. weekdays through Friday, Dec. 22. The library is closed Dec. 25-29 and Jan. 1. It will reopen Tuesday, Jan. 2, 8 a.m.-4 p.m., and resume regular hours Jan. 3, the first day of interterm.

The cafeteria in Schultz Student Center closes at noon Dec. 15 and will reopen with the evening meal Tuesday, Jan. 2.

Mojo’s Coffee Shop, also located in Schultz Student Center, will have changed hours over the holidays as well.

Dec. 18-23, Mojo’s is open Mon.-Fri., 6:30 a.m.-6 p.m., and Sat., 7 a.m.-3 p.m. The shop will be closed Dec. 25, and open Tuesday, Dec. 26, 8 a.m.-3 p.m., Wednesday-Friday, Dec. 27-29, 6:30 a.m.-3 p.m., and Saturday, Dec. 30, 7 a.m.-3 p.m. Mojo’s is closed on Monday, Jan. 1. The Bethel campus is closed Dec. 23-Jan. 1. All buildings will be locked except for the Administration Building on Friday, Dec. 29, 9 a.m.-3 p.m., when the advancement and development offices are open, and the Schultz Student Center entrances to Mojo’s.
