NORTH NEWTON, KAN. – Work by 49 Bethel College students is now on display through April 28 in the Regier Gallery inside Luyken Fine Arts Center.
The annual Student Art Exhibit showcases work from all students who take art classes, whether or not they are art majors.
On display is work from classes in both fall 2017 and spring 2018, in media including drawing, photography, painting, ceramics, sculpture, graphic design, 3-D design, jewelry, fiber art and artist books.
There will be a reception April 26, 6-8 p.m., in the area just outside the gallery.
Student artists from the local area are Sarah Booth, Goessel; Katelyn Boston, Newton; Oscar Gonzalez, Newton; Katrina Heinrichs, Hesston; Diane Lewis, Newton; Nick Preheim, Peabody; Austin Prouty, Newton; Rebecca Schrag, Newton; Elizabeth Tran, North Newton; Autumn Walker, Goessel; Anna Wiens, Goessel; and Veronica Ziegler, Hesston.
There are 10 student artists from the Wichita area: Georgia Anderson, Parker Austin (Derby), Emma Girton, Jordan Hill (Augusta), Leisle Hoffman, Samuel Ishimwe, Adam Kroeker (Augusta), Zane McHugh, Rebecca Mullen and Bethany Rafter.

The Student Art Exhibit will be in the Regier Gallery through April 27.
The gallery is located inside the Luyken Fine Arts Center on the Bethel campus. Regular hours are Mon.-Fri., 9 a.m.-5 p.m., and Sunday, 2-4 p.m. There is no admission charge.
Bethel art faculty are David Long, professor of art, Rachel Epp Buller, associate professor of visual art and design, and Kathy Schroeder, adjunct instructor of art.
The final exhibit for this school year will be the annual Senior Art Exhibit, May 4-20, showcasing work that graduating art majors have developed during their junior and senior years. The reception for the senior exhibit will be May 18, during commencement weekend.
