Bethel College is pleased to offer official transcripts in electronic and postal mail formats through its partnership with National Student Clearinghouse.
Students may select a transcript in either format upon each request.
Once the Registrar’s Office is notified by the National Student Clearinghouse of a student’s request for an official transcript, we will review the student’s record for accuracy and either submit the electronic record to the National Student Clearinghouse or process the request within our office. Bethel College will process all hand carry and mail options through our office.
Electronic transcripts are not accepted by everyone so please verify that your recipient will accept an electronic transcript prior to submitting your request. If an electronic transcript is not accepted, you will be responsible to submit a new request for a hard copy.
Transcripts will not be issued to anyone with outstanding balances at the Business Office or other holds (such as unreturned books, fines imposed by Student Life, etc.) until such holds are removed.
Transcripts released directly to a student or alumnus are stamped “Issued to Student.” A number of institutions will not accept transcripts delivered by the student or alumnus but must receive them directly from Bethel College to be considered official.
You can pay for your transcript order, if a cost is involved, with any major credit or debit card. Your credit or debit card is not charged until Bethel sends your transcript(s). However, if you use a debit card, your bank may put a hold on your funds when National Student Clearinghouse pre-authorizes your payment. If you have questions on the pre-authorization, please contact your bank. Order updates will be sent to you via email and, if you choose, text messages. You can also track your transcript order online.
The following may be required to order a transcript online:
- A major credit or debit card
- An email account
- Your signed consent
