and that just might mean you should be an athletic coach.

This certificate goes well with any major, but probably most commonly pairs with

Not only will you get “Coaching 101” (i.e., Principles of Coaching: planning, organizing, planning and directing team functions), the certificate includes basic courses in

  • functional anatomy
  • first aid, safety and CPR
  • prevention and care of injuries
  • essentials of strength training and conditioning

plus an internship.

After you complete Bethel’s Coaching curriculum, you’re eligible for certification through the National Strength and Conditioning Association as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (NSCA-CSCS). This requires payment of a fee included in Bethel’s Coaching program.
