Bethel people are passionate – about academics, music, forensics, sports, work, art, worship, service, conversation. Everyone here is passionate about something, usually several things.

About Luis: Growing up and living in Southern California most of my life, I thought I was inevitably destined for the large classrooms filled with countless students, since that is common with many California colleges and universities. I am glad I chose to attend a small school where I was more than just a number and I am enthusiastic about the possibility of assisting other students in finding the college that is right for them.

I really enjoyed my four years as an undergraduate at the University of Maine at Machias, a small four year college on the New England coast in Maine. The resulting low student to faculty ratio that comes with a small school allowed me to excel in every aspect of college life. I was always engaged in and out of the classroom and on a first name basis with all of my professors! I am thrilled that Bethel is also a small campus where students can truly benefit from an amazing 10:1 student to faculty ratio, a diverse student body, and a commitment to higher education for the whole person. I am motivated by the opportunity to help students benefit from my experiences at a small school in making an informed decision about finding their home away from home.
