About Michael: Michael grew up on a farm outside of Peabody, Kansas, where he learned to love the outdoors from a very early age. He graduated from Peabody-Burns High School in 2004. He attended Bethel College from 2004-2009, where he studied biology, played football, sang in concert choir, worked as an RA in the upperclassmen residence hall, and helped organize intramural sports. After he graduated with a biology degree, Michael served with Mennonite Voluntary Service for one year at Camp Mennoscah (near Kingman, Kansas), where he worked to maintain the grounds and buildings of the camp. Afterwards, Michael signed up for another year of service in Fresno, California, as a youth care worker at a group home for teens. He returned to Bethel as an admissions counselor in August 2011. Michael is the admissions counselor for eastern Kansas, including the Wichita and Kansas City metro areas, as well as the states of Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Wisconsin, and California.
