There’s a strong sense of community at Bethel. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming. It’s hard not to feel like you belong here.

College can be very stressful as you experience social, academic, personal and situational challenges. At times, you might not be able to effectively address these concerns on your own, and may need to speak with a counselor.

Bethel College student life staff members, including resident assistants and student chaplains, are happy to talk with you and are available for support or for referrals to counselors.

Talking with a trained professional counselor can help you develop greater self-understanding and help you resolve problems that may interfere with your personal development and academic success.

Bethel has contracted with Sand Creek Behavioral Health Services of Newton to have psychologists Shelby Evans and Joy Hoofer on campus for regular office hours during the week. They can also see you off campus. Visit the Office of Student Life to get help with referrals, scheduling and payment from the Student Life Office.
