Rachel Kasper Fitzsimons (known in showbiz as Rachel de Benedet) has spent the past 15 years: on Broadway in Catch Me If You Can (Astaire Award nomination), The Addams Family (Morticia opposite Nathan Lane), Dirty Rotten Scoundrels (with John Lithgow), Nine (with Antonio Banderas and Chita Rivera) and The Sound Of Music; on tour as Guenevere in Camelot (opposite Lou Diamond Phillips) and The Sound Of Music as Elsa opposite Richard Chamberlain, (winning the St Louis JUDY Award for Supporting Actress); Off-Broadway in The Second Tosca, and Christopher Durang’s Adrift in Macao (for which she won the Barrymore Award for Best Actress for the original Philadelphia Theatre Company production,) and regionally as Anna in The King And I (opposite Lorenzo Lamas) in Maine, Alexa in As Bees In Honey Drown (Denver Drama Critics’ Circle Award, Best Actress in a Play) in Colorado, and Kate/Lilli in Kiss Me, Kate (IRNE Award nomination) in Massachusetts. Current favorite role: mom to almost 11 month old William, in New York City.
